DEFINITION OF TERMS
Senior High School
in reference to Republic Act No. 10533, also known as the Enhanced Basic
Education Act of 2013, these are students who are in their Grade-12 of secondary
education or have already graduated in Grade-12.
Non-senior High School
a graduate of the old high school curriculum (1st year to 4th year)
whom are not part of the implementation of the K-12 system
Transferee
previously enrolled in a different college or university and
has completed some college-level courses.
Alternative Learning System (ALS)
graduate - completed the Alternative Learning System (ALS)
provided by the Department of Education
Persons with Disability (PWD)
in reference to Republic Act No. 7277, also known as the Magna
Carta for Disabled Persons, is any person suffering from restriction or different
abilities, as a result of a mental, physical, or sensory impairment, to perform an activity in the manner or within the
range considered normal for a human being. Identified by the disability that falls under any of the
following categories: visual, hearing, orthopedic, speech, learning, mental, and developmental
disabilities. Moreover, the disability must be permanent, and it must be certified by a licensed
physician or clinical psychologist.

Solo Parent
identified under Republic Act No. 8972, also known as the Solo Parent Welfare Act of
2000. Must be recognized as a solo parent and secured a Solo Parent Identification Card (SPID) from
the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office in their respective
city/municipality.
